Planetarium..
A splendid gift by the Surti Rotarians.. the Planetarium, which in its heyday was a great attraction for Surtis. Now closed, it used to be a great destination of the Surti Star Gazers!

I'm very glad I found your blog.
I'm visiting Surat on July 22nd to see the eclipse. I'm so sorry to see that planetarium is closed as I was hoping to find someone there who could give me some guides regarding the best location to see the eclipse.
Do you have any recommendations regarding what would be the best spot to look at the sunrise? That's when the eclipse will occur. Are there any rises, hills, etc. convinient for this? Also how to get there in such small hours (5 am)?
Originally, I planned to visit Surat for only a day, but after seeing all the photos and reading your posts... I'll have to stay longer! :)
Hi Milos.. Nice to hear you are visiting Surat in July. There are no hills here in Surat, but I could guide you to a highrise apartment from where you would be able to see the sunrise clearly. You can contact me directly on my email ms@popbros.com and also let me have your contact details.
